         In today life is very busy each of us. People are running behind the money and they are not caring their health which lead to so many disease in which blood pressure is the common across the world. In early years blood pressure cases were seen above the age of 40 years but now age does not matter,blood pressure cases are seen in teenagers also.It may become fatal if cured or not controlled.So it is very important to understand the causes of blood pressure and how it can be controlled.

 WHAT IS BLOOD PRESSURE


    Blood pressure is the pressure exerted on the wall of the artery when heart contracts and pushed the blood to other part of the body.Hypertension is the another name of high blood pressure.If it is not controlled it may lead to sever health complication like heart disease,stroke and sometimes death.

  CAUSES OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE


     Though exact cause of the blood pressure is not known,but certain factors are there which may induce to high blood pressure.There are two type of hypertention .First is which is not due to any disease called primary or essential hypertension.The other one is called secondary hypertension.

      The primary hypertension may be due to the situational like in stress or lack of exercise,due to sedentary work,high intake of salt etc.Secondary hypertension has specific causes and is a complication of another health problem like chronic kidney disease,diabetes,hyperthyroidism,obesity etc.

RISK FACTORS
     A Numbers of factors are there which increase the risk of hypertension.


    AGE:
                Hypertension is more common in people who are more that 40 years.Blood pressure can increase steadily with age as the arteries stiffen and narrow,due to this heart is to work more to push the blood to all part of the body.But in present scenario age factor is not definite in case of high blood pressure.High blood pressure cases are seen in teen agers also.

USE OF ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO:

           Use of alcohocol and tobacco is one of the main reasons of high blood pressure.People who are consuming in large quantity of alcohol and tobacco regularly are prone to high blood pressure.

SEX:

      Males have a high risk of developing hypertension in compare to women.However ,this is only until after women reach menopause.

SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE:

      Research shown that the people whose life style is sedentary and they are not doing exercise regularly,high blood pressure caese are seen more among them.

SALT RICH AND HIGH FAT DIET:

    People whose intake is high salt in their meal and they are taking more fatty meal,they are prone to high blood pressure.

LOW POTASSIUM INTAKE:

   Low potassium intake may also lead to high blood pressure.

POOR STRESS MANAGEMENT:

  Stress is one of the main reasons of the primary hypertension, if not managed properly it may lead to hypertension.

SYMPTOMS OF HYPERTENSION:

   There is no specific symptoms of the hypertension thats why it is called "silent killer".If hypertension is not detected shortly it may damage the heart,blood vessels and other organs like Kidners.

   In rare and severe cases  high blood pressure may cause anxiety,sweating,sleeping problem.If blood pressure is so high it may lead to haedache and bleeding from the nose.

MANAGEMENT OF HYPERTENSION:

REGULAR EXERCISE:

      People who have hypertension should do regular exercise.Exercise may include moderate jogging, brisk walking,cycling or swimming.Exercise should be done on regular basic in disciplined manner.

STRESS MANAGEMENT:

    Stress management is very important in present scenario of the life style.Today everyone is busy and people are highly ambitious.Their life style is so distrubed that they are very prone to getting stress. stress must be managed to control the hypertension.The following are the methodes which may reduce the stress-
         
     Meditation,warm bath,yoga and simply going on long walk are some relaxing techniques that can help srress.

DIET:

The role of diet is  very important to reduce the hypertension.The following are the methods with the application of it,will difinitely reduce the hypertension.

REDUCING SALT INTAKE:

    People are normally takes a lot of quantity of salt compare to the recommended quqntity.Extra intake of salt is due to sprinkle of salt over salad,extra salt taken by in the form of pickle.Some people are in the habit to take salt with green chilli.All these activity are involved in extra intake of salt in the body which are very harmful for the hypertension.

       The World health organisation (WHO) recommended intake upto 5 gm per day to help decrease the hypertension and related health problems.

EATING FRUIT AND VEGETABLES AND LESS FAT DIET:

       Healthy diet is very important to reduce the high blood pressure.Todays in large quantity of people are taking junk food which can contibute to elevate to blood pressure and the complication of hypertension.

       Fibrous food, fruit and vegetables should be included in daily food.It will be very beneficial to reduce the high blood pressure without madication.Some food can be avoided or decrease the quantity of intake,like egg should be taken in minimal quantity one or two depend upon the how much exercise is individual is doing.Read meat is to be avoided or taken in very less quantity,chicken is to be preferred in place of red meat.

     So much oily food is to be avoided.The things which are made of fine flour(Maida) should be avoided.

MANAGING BODY WEIGHT:

     Body weight play important role in regulation of high blood pressure.A fall in blood pressure usually follow weight loss,as the heart does not have to work so hard to pump blood around the body.

CUT BACK CAFFINE:

The hupertensive shoul cut their caffeine intake which they take in the form of tea or coffee.It is not evident that these are the reason of the hypertension.But it is clear that if it is taken in large quantity it may increase the blood pressure,so intake of tea or coffee should be reduced.

      With the help of all above measures taken will help to reduce the high blood pressure.
